Day 1 :

Nairobi → Samburu | Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive

Depart Nairobi early in a 5–6 hour scenic drive north toward Samburu, passing semi-arid plains and Maasai villages along the way.

Stop for refreshments and photos as the landscape transforms into rugged hills and riverine forest.

Arrive at your midrange lodge or tented camp and check-in, enjoying lunch with views of the Ewaso Nyiro River.

In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive, exploring Samburu’s unique wildlife.

Spot elephants, lions, reticulated giraffes, and Grevy’s zebras while your guide shares insights about the park’s biodiversity.

Elsy worked diligently to create an itinerary for our group of 4 that flowed perfectly. We opted for slightly better lodging which she found for each of our overnight stays. Each lodge we stayed in was comfortable, welcoming, and beautifully chosen. The lodge at Ol Pejeta, Sweet Water Serena Camp was by far our favorite.What stood out most was how safe and cared for we felt the entire time. Our guide was not only knowledgeable and professional but also warm and attentive, making every day both fun and meaningful. Solomon became a part of our group and not just our guide. We never had to worry about a thing — we could simply relax and enjoy the incredible wildlife and landscapes of Kenya. Accommodation, places to visit, restaurants she advised on everything expertly and it was all amazing! The accommodation in Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naveisha all made the experience feel like you were in Tarzan. Any questions we had she was able to answer. She genuinely could not have been more helpful so a huge thank you to her!Fred was our tour guide who drove us around in a beautiful Land Cruiser. Again, he is another expert at his job. He was so knowledgable, constantly sharing facts and pieces of history on Kenya with us. When it came to spotting the animals, he was incredible. We saw everything we could have dreamed of and more. We got close to a variety of animals and captured some amazing photos. Our driver was very professional and open to communication throughout the trip, providing us with attentive service.  Verified THE BEST EXPERIENCE WE EVER HAD IN KENYA We had a wonderful time in Kenya. Our driver Solomon took us to see different lion prides in Maasai Mara and Amboseli National Park. We got close to a variety of animals and captured some amazing photos. Our driver was very professional and open to communication throughout the trip, providing us with attentive service. We will definitely come back!
