Day 1
Nairobi to Samburu – Into the Northern Wild
Your journey begins with a morning pick-up from Nairobi in a luxury 4×4 safari vehicle, setting out toward the wild landscapes of Samburu. As you travel north, the scenery transforms—from fertile highlands to arid scrublands dotted with acacia trees and distant hills.
Arriving at your luxury tented camp in time for lunch, you’ll be welcomed with cool drinks and panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. After settling in, set off for your first private afternoon game drive. With fewer vehicles in sight, you’ll feel the serenity of Samburu’s open spaces. Watch for elephants crossing the Ewaso Nyiro, predators lounging in the heat, and the striking colors of the Somali ostrich.

Full Day in Samburu – The Special Five & Timeless Beauty
Wake to the soft glow of dawn and the sound of birdsong. After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in search of Samburu’s unique wildlife. With your expert guide, explore both sides of the Ewaso Nyiro River, following tracks that lead to elephants, lions, leopards, and the famed Special Five.
A picnic lunch is served in a scenic spot under the shade of acacias, giving you time to simply listen to the wild and soak in the views. The afternoon brings more sightings—perhaps a cheetah scanning the horizon or a gerenuk delicately browsing on its hind legs.
Return to camp in the golden light of late afternoon. As evening falls, enjoy sundowners overlooking the river before another exquisite dinner and a night wrapped in the sounds of the African bush.

After breakfast back at camp, begin your journey to Nairobi, stopping along the way to take in the changing landscapes one last time. Your driver-guide will drop you at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of three unforgettable days in Samburu’s wild heart.
